Founder : Traditional Indian Practice

My name is Aadhar Verma, founder of Traditional Indian Practice.

From a young age, I was deeply immersed in physical fitness, sports, and martial arts. My journey into traditional Indian physical culture began when I was initiated by Guru Jasvant Singh into the Akhara lineage of Indian wrestling. I trained within the traditional wrestling tradition associated with Pullvari Ashram in Saharanpur, where I learned not only the physical aspects of the practice but also the values, discipline, and philosophy that accompany this ancient heritage.

Driven by my passion for traditional and holistic approaches to health and strength, I pursued formal education in the field, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports and later a Master’s Degree in Yogic Science from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar.

In 2020, a transformative journey through the temples of South India inspired a new creative direction in my life. The intricate carvings, sacred symbolism, and timeless craftsmanship of these ancient temples sparked a desire to recreate and preserve traditional Indian designs through handcrafted wooden training tools.

As I explored the world of traditional fitness equipment, I realized that authentic, high-quality Gadas, Mudgars, and Karlakattais were increasingly difficult to find—especially pieces connected to a genuine lineage and cultural tradition. What began as a small project crafting a few Gadas and Mudgars soon evolved into Traditional Indian Practice.

Today, our handcrafted training tools are used by practitioners, athletes, wrestlers, yogis, and movement enthusiasts in more than 25 countries around the world. Beyond creating traditional equipment, we also share this living heritage through workshops, training sessions, and retreats internationally.

Traditional Indian Practice exists to preserve, celebrate, and share the rich legacy of Indian physical culture—connecting ancient wisdom with modern practitioners through authentic craftsmanship and traditional training methods.

WOODEN GADAS

POWER - RESILIENCE - DEVOTION

Inspired by the temples and warrior traditions of India, I craft handmade wooden Gadas (maces), each intricately designed to reflect sacred geometry and timeless strength. The Gada has always been a symbol of power, resilience, and devotion—whether wielded by warriors or used in yogic training. Every piece I create carries this legacy forward, merging artistry with tradition.

Through my handcrafted Gadas, I aim to revive India’s ancient warrior heritage and share its wisdom with modern practitioners. If you appreciate heritage, craftsmanship, and the enduring spirit of the Akhara, I invite you to explore my creations and become part of this timeless tradition.

If you share my love for heritage, tradition, and handcrafted excellence, I invite you to explore my creations and be part of this timeless legacy.
